What LG HDTV To Consider
While there are many manufacturers that are delving into the high definition television market, LG is one manufacturer that is fairly popular on the market. LG HDTV has garnered numerous awards for its design and the technology used to manufacture it. One thing these awards have done is to quickly distinguish LG as the company to beat for HDTV technology. If you are in the market to buy a LG HDTV, then you will want research as much as you can about it and HDTV technology in general.
Determine The Resolution Of Your LG HDTV
The first thing you will need to determine is the resolution your hd television will have. You will see the resolutions offered as 720p, 1080i and 1080p. When looking for hd televisions, these will be the ones that are displayed. Understanding these resolutions will be a great place to start. The first part of the resolution (the number) refers to the number of lines that are used on the television screen in order to display the picture. The more lines the better as it means that the picture will be more clear. The second part of the resolution indicates how the lines in the picture will be displayed. The letter “i” stands for interleaved, or interlaced, and the letter “p” stands for progressive. As we talked about in another post regarding the best HDTV, the resolution with a “p” is generally better than “i”. And while 720p is a progressive resolution, a television with 1080i is preferable to 720p simply because of the number of lines used. When buying an hd television with 1080 lines, you will want to skip over the 1080i and go with the 1080p. 1080p HDTV is the most technologically advanced HDTV at the moment as it supports full HDTV and Blu-Ray.
A Few “Wallet Friendly” LG HDTV Models To Consider
Once you have decided on the resolution and size of HD television you want, you can then focus on looking for the right LG HDTV for you. One model to consider, if you want a smaller 720p set, is the LG 42LG30. This television is a 42″ television and is one of the lower priced 720p televisions that LG makes.
If you want a larger hd television then you will want to buy one that is 1080p. One 1080p HDTV model to consider here is the LG 47LH30. This is also a budget television that, although it is lower in price, is still packed full of extra features. This model has a very high contrast ratio. The contrast ratio enables the picture to have more colors displayed and can help you see more things on-screen (especially in dark scenes of the movie). Another thing that this television boasts is the ability to display frame rates (24p) that movies are shot in.
These are just some of the LG HDTV that you should consider. LG makes some of the best HDTV available on the market and if you do proper research you will end up with the right HDTV for you.
